We Made It!!

Well, we've finally made it to New York. We've actually been here about a week and a half, but it's taken us a while to get up and running with everything, the internet included. First, I want to say "thank you" to everyone who helped us move in any way! We could not have done it without you. Since Ben was working nights, it was mostly me and the help I recruited to pack up the house and boy that's a hard job when you're pregnant! I don't want to leave anyone out, so I won't name names...but thank you!!
Here is a pic of some of Maddie and Cam's cousins on Ben's side the day we left. How sad we won't see them for so long!
So Ben, Maddie and his nice friend, Shane, pulled out of Utah on Thursday with this big rig and our car behind it. I stayed behind to clean and was able to spend some more time with my family, while staying at my sister, Stephanie's house. I then flew out the next Monday morning (thanks to Shane I didn't have to do the long haul and got to fly with Cam--what a treat!).
Ben and Shane may have resembled a gay couple making a move together across the country, you be the judge...
Maddie did extremely well, or so I hear, on the long drive-thank goodness!
They made all sorts of stops along the way, like Notre Dame...
(Shane is single by the way, so tell your single girl friends :))

and Niagara Falls...
Palmyra...
the Smith family farm...

the Sacred Grove (and Hill Cumorah not pictured)...
and finally made it to our new home in Albany.
Here are some inside pics, obviously not put together yet...

To come are some more clean, put-together house pics. Once we do a few more things, I'll post some of that.

Yeah you made it! I'm glad everyone was able to make it safe and sound. How are you feeling these days? Normally I think it's fun to put together a new house, but being pregnant and sick doesn't make it sound all that great:( Your house is beautiful! It looks so cute a charming with lots of character...I love houses like that! I can't wait to see more!

Congratulations guys! That's so weird that you're across the country, now. Your house is gorgeous! I know it will be very cutely decorated, too. Good luck with everything and take it easy, too. If it makes you feel any better, we've been in our house for a couple months and still don't have pictures up. :)

wow, what a fun drive, all those great places to see along the way. Where were they parking that big rig at all those places? I bet the toll on the thruway was outrageous! Anyways, we are glad you are here safe and sound. Maybe we will need to plan an outlet shopping trip for school clothes soon! Your house is just adoreable, cant wait to see it next week!

I've been thinking about you guys moving this past week (now we're next, ah!) and I'm glad to see that you all made it safe and sound. Maddie looks so cute with the boys in all the pictures. It looks like she had a lot of fun. I'm loving the house. I love the older houses that have a lot of character and the gorgeous wood floors. How lucky are you! I have a cute single sister for Shane! She goes to BYU, does he?

Oh Cindy, your house is truly adorable and it will only get better as you decorate it. You're the only one I know who can be a student and still look cute and live in a cute place. You have a talent!

I LOVE the pictues of Ben, Maddie & Shane. They really got some good ones. The one of Ben and Shane in front of the corn is hilarious. Nice little couple they make...he he he!
