Better late than never...

am I right?
We had a fun Memorial day last week, we enjoyed a parade in the morning, a Stake picnic in the afternoon and a BBQ in the park that evening. I forgot my camera the whole day, and had to document it somehow, so I stole some from my friend, Tiana (thanks for sharing ;). At the park Cam, who used to hate slides, insisted we all clap and say "yay" every time he came down the slide, silly boy.

...waiting for the applause.

Cam & Georgia...poor little lady, he absolutely smothers her.

A very rare shot. For anyone that knows Maddie well, knows that she is terrified of dogs. Well, after many visits to our friends, the Liljenquists, she's miraculously decided that she likes their dog, Gunner. Now, if you can believe it, she even asks to go play with him! I'm stunned. Who knew she would overcome her fears and actually like dogs, or at least one dog. Yay Maddie!

And lastly, our friends the good 'ol Hipples & Liljenquists (although Tiana is missing due to taking the picture). We all moved to NY at the same time for our hubbies to attend school, and we have loved becoming friends with them. It makes our stay here in NY so much more fun, thanks guys :)

The graduate.

Miss Maddie graduated from preschool on Friday. She was so proud, and so were her parents I might add. I mean, just look at that cap and gown, so official. I cannot believe I have a little almost kindergartner. I mean, seriously, when I did I become a mom of a grade schooler?? Anywho, here are some pics to document the occasion...

Her last day.
Her teachers...

Graduation Day
One last stop in the play kitchen
Eating cake afterwards, Cam's favorite part by far...he would not stop asking about it when he spotted it on our way in. Made for a long program (which was actually quite short).

We're excited for a long summer, before she begins the rest of her school career. I want to enjoy every minute of her being home while I can. She is such a good helper and will be missed around here with FULL-DAY kindergarten. Seems a bit much to me, but that's how it is here. Good luck Maddie!

And the winner is...

grAb a bUtton!

In an attempt to get the word out there about my clippies, I've decided to do a giveaway. Now aren't you glad you checked my blog today? It's simple, grab my cranberries & capers button {new & improved blinky one} from my sidebar and add it your blog sidebar and you'll be entered to win a super cute clippy of your choice. After you've added it, just let me know by leaving a comment on my cranberries & capers blog, telling me what your blog is/where to find it. Also mention which listing on my etsy shop you would like and it's yours. If you already have my button on your sidebar, go ahead and grab my new one and let me know as well. The winner will be chosen randomly.

*Giveaway will close May 29th at midnight (NY time). The winner will be announced May 30th.

Once clicked on, my button will link you right to my blog/etsy shop (explanation for those not so computer savvy, like myself). Thanks in advance for those who add one, just a little shameless advertising :)

coordination.

Maddie had a Spanish Fiesta today at preschool. I, of course forgot my camera, so I had her reenact the Mexican hat dance for me later at home. I was laughing so hard, I was almost in tears at her school. One of the moms leaned to me and said, "Wow, Maddie is so coordinated!" The rest of the kids were casually sticking out a leg here or there, but Maddie was full-on getting into it. It was great! They also sang a few Spanish songs and her voice was heard above all the rest. Maybe we should take a trip to Mexico...anyhow, without further ado, here is the video. Enjoy!

and the days of the week song

{don't mind the intermittent burping...hello manners?}

Thanks Cam.

happy & cute.

that pretty much sums up our little hazel nut.

{notice her little black shoes that i wore when i was a baby}

just a few things she is doing at 4 months:

1-smiling
2-babbling
3-noticing toys...holding them if i make her :)
4-learning to sleep through the night( ok we're not exactly there, but we're working on training her, wish me luck)
5-constantly tugging at her ears/hair, especially when she's tired
6-almost rolling...see video below taken a few weeks ago
