Some proof

For those of you who don't believe me when I say that I'm showing...here is some proof. Neither of these pics are good or have good lighting, but it gives you an idea of my 17 week belly. I guess it's true what they say about showing sooner with each pregnancy. That or I'm gonna have one big baby! Either way I'm feeling a WHOLE lot better, to answer those who've been asking. It just occurred to me when we arrived here that I feel better, what great timing!

We Made It!!

Well, we've finally made it to New York. We've actually been here about a week and a half, but it's taken us a while to get up and running with everything, the internet included. First, I want to say "thank you" to everyone who helped us move in any way! We could not have done it without you. Since Ben was working nights, it was mostly me and the help I recruited to pack up the house and boy that's a hard job when you're pregnant! I don't want to leave anyone out, so I won't name names...but thank you!!

Here is a pic of some of Maddie and Cam's cousins on Ben's side the day we left. How sad we won't see them for so long!

So Ben, Maddie and his nice friend, Shane, pulled out of Utah on Thursday with this big rig and our car behind it. I stayed behind to clean and was able to spend some more time with my family, while staying at my sister, Stephanie's house. I then flew out the next Monday morning (thanks to Shane I didn't have to do the long haul and got to fly with Cam--what a treat!).
Ben and Shane may have resembled a gay couple making a move together across the country, you be the judge...
Maddie did extremely well, or so I hear, on the long drive-thank goodness!

She's 4!!

Our little girl turned 4 yesterday. We celebrated by going to Boondocks with some family.

Blowing out the candles on her princess cake. Yes, it is store bought. I didn't have it in me to try and create it on my own.

She received lots of Barbies. I used to play with them a ton, so this was kinda exciting for me that she's starting this phase of her childhood.

Ben's parents were nice enough to drive all the way down from Idaho to be at her party. They took Cam, so we could do some of the bigger rides. Here is how we found them.
Enjoying her gifts when we got home. Thanks to everyone who came and all the great gifts. She was very spoiled!

It still hasn't hit me that we're moving in a few days and will no longer be so close to family. We have been so lucky to have 4 of our siblings living within 30 minutes of us. Not to mention grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. We're gonna miss you guys!

Catching up...

As I was looking through my pictures, I realized I have some catching up to do. So here are a few from the past few weeks. Maddie went to a Princess B-day Party and could not have been more excited to dress up and go. Now she of course insists that her b-day party has to be the same! (Unfortunately her b-day is 4 days before we move and I don't know if I have it in me)

Suzanne and Cam did some slow dancing in our family room. The look on his face and the way he was acting was priceless. It was like I was taking a glimpse into the future to see my little guy all grown up, dancing w/a girl at some dance.

Happy 4th

I know I'm a little late in posting this, but here they are none the less. We had a good 4th of July, which began with some boating in the morning (I had a good video of Ben doing a flip on the wake board, but it wouldn't post for some reason). That evening Ben had to work, so luckily I had Suzanne to celebrate with me and the kids. We headed to to my sister, Laura's, house for a BBQ and some fireworks. Not to mention some homemade ice cream made by Russell, my bro-in-law. Yum! It made me realize we have so few get-togethers left before we move. If only I could pause time until we get back, so that the kids won't get any older!

Haircut on a whim...

My little sister, Suzanne, is staying with us for a few weeks before we move and she heads to BYU-I for college. It's been good to have her here to help me out and keep me busy and my mind off the fact that I'm sick. Here is a pic with all of my sisters in age order about two weeks ago. It also shows how long my hair has gotten... Then today Suzanne and I decided to take advantage of Ben being home, and we went to the mall to do some shopping without any kiddos with us. While we were shopping, I decided on a whim to get my hair cut. She cut about 5 inches off. So much for growing out my hair! I think it will be a nice change for the remainder of the summer. I got home and Maddie wouldn't look at me...then she said, "I like your long hair!" I didn't think she would even care. I guess I was wrong. Next time I think I would like the front to be a little longer , but overall I am happy with it. And she taught me a new way to style my bangs to have a more swoopy look, although you may not be able to tell from the pictures.
